With family know-how handed down from father to son, Distillerie Castan distills and ages its plum brandies in acacia barrels for several years. The aging process gives the eau de vie a beautiful amber color, and a rich aroma with hints of vanilla and caramel.

This eau de vie, with its distinctive nose, is delicate, long on the palate, both imposing and smooth, and harmonious.

Tasted at the end of a meal, at room temperature, after a coffee, it offers intense aromas.

Made exclusively from plums from an authentic south-western terroir, the selection of fruit and speed of transport ensure the product’s impeccable quality.

The plums, bursting with sugar, are picked at the end of August, then sorted to keep those that have reached their quintessential quality.

No aromatic additives.

The alembic is fitted with a rectifying column to obtain fine, smooth eaux de vie. The eau de vie is carefully reduced by the distiller to 44%vol using natural water drawn from a depth of 100 meters.
